Google adds three new features to their search

During the past week, Google have been rolling out new features with each more pleasing then the last. They first released the similar images function which had spent a long time in google labs. A great little feature that allows you to search for images with matching properties. Say you were searching for “orange” and you found an image you like, simply click on the find similar images link and you will be taken to a new search that houses a lot of similar looking images.

Google then introduced their social search. Unlike the similar images feature the social search is still being kept in the labs section for now. Basically what it does is search through the most popular social websites in a bit more depth, looking through status updates etc

Finally, google rolled out there third feature, music search. When searching for a band/artist/track, google search will return a special music result which includes thumbnails of albums, tracks from that band/artist and the abilty to listen to individual songs. What I am most suprised about is that even lyrics are taken into account. If you can only remember just a few words of a song, that will be enough to find and download it thanks to google
